Why I hate religious people:

Because, ultimately, their brains simply don't work the way they should. There should be a point where an adult rejects fairy tales, or at least seriously considers the possibility that their mythology is so much nonsense.

Of course, belief in that mythology is perfectly self-centered and egotistical, so I can understand the attraction. Religion puts a person at the center of the universe, makes them the most important thing in the world. It is vanity, and hubris, and it is the exact opposite of what they claim it is. There is NOTHING humble in being religious, because it is the belief that the universe and everything in it was created just for you, and that the two most powerful forces in the universe have no greater interest than whether or not you are wanking to internet porn or using dirty words.

The worst of it, the very pinnacle of evil? The fact that religious people insist on their silly little myths being played out on the global stage, with human lives on the line. I don't mind the morons killing each other so much, but innocent bystanders like children and Atheists get caught in the crossfire.
